This project focused on building a brand identity for a unique furniture company. I decided to create a furniture company that specializes in refurbishing antique and retro furniture while still maintaing its unique retro aesthetic.
To begin the brand identity development, I compiled information about the ideal customer, the goals of the company, and a direct local competitor
Once I identified a direct competitor of this business I researched that company in depth. This included finding what services they provided specifically, what their gain points are, and their general reach to the public.
After I decided on a brand name, I began creating various iterations of potential logos for the brand identity.
These sketches led me to develop the final brand logo and lockup, as well as a tagline.
The next step of this brand development was to create the brand guidelines. This included outlining logo orientations, secondary elements, color pallets, typefaces, and other brand specific elements.
The first branding item that I created was the business cards. These cards feature the brand name, logo, slogan, and contact information.
Next I created mockups for the business’ trucks that would be delivering the furniture items to customers
Because of the company’s shipping capability, I felt it was important to also design the shipping box for the furniture
Then I designed unique price tags to match the Brand design and increse immersion into the retro aesthetic.
I then added QR codes to the back of the price tags to increase the customer’s offline-to-online interaction.
In order to facilitate online-to-offline customer interaction, I designed a weekly coupon that customers can scan from their phone while shopping in-store to receive a discount. This encourages customers to visit the store rather than just shopping online.
The next step of development was creating online branding elements such as social media profiles, Web browsers, and internet ads.
